Located in Northern Indiana (Elkhart), RE-E-POWER's main
testing sight is in
St Joseph, Michigan.

RE-E-POWER was started in 2005 out of our own frustration in
finding a practical solution for our own boat projects.  It
seemed that simplicity was NOT part of the equation when it
came to installing most electric drive systems.  We started the
company with a more traditional mindset of "inboard" motor
drives.  Trying to replace the old iron genny with an electric,
and retain all of the old standards of shaft, shaft log, cutlass
bearing, stern tube, and so forth and so on.  The list of parts
gets pretty long.  We found that the complexity of the
traditional system was too much for the weekend DIYer to get
done in a reasonable amount of time.  After having some very
good interaction with boaters at the Strictly Sail Chicago show,
we decided to work on the idea of using a POD.  When the idea
was first suggested, we thought it wasn't practical on a small
scale.  We started looking at the project with a calculator and
found that it was more than just a viable option.  It was THE
option that made the MOST SENSE!

We encourage anyone who is interested in adding or converting
to an electric drive propulsion system to contact us via phone,
Email, or snail mail.
